I was planning to run a 5k tomorrow in Sea Bright. Now many of you may not know where Sea Bright, NJ is, so let me tell you. It's a peninsula that borders the Atlantic Ocean just South of Sandy Hook. It may be about 500 feet wide in some spots, maybe 200 in others. It's other natural border? The Shrewsbury River. & most of the time, on days like today....the Shrewsbury River becomes one with the Atlantic Ocean. Not sure if the race is still on for tomorrow, or if I will be able to get to Sea Bright. It starts at 11 am.....so maybe things will be a little dryer & less windier by then. & that's if I remember to set my clocks ahead. Spring ahead!

Blooooooooooooooown Away!
Wow! It is really windy out. The weather channel says 35 mph winds, but it's like a hurricane out there. I noticed a piece of siding on the house was thwack thwack thwacking in the wind. The power has also gone out about 3 times already. Thankfully, it is back on, but for how long, who knows? I have given up resetting the clocks. Woah, a huge wind just blew on by, Louie just looked up from his nap as if to say what the hell was that mommy? Hopefully it will stop blowing soon. But the funniest part of this wind & rain storm is this picture. I took it about an hour ago. This plastic bag has been stuck in my tree for about 2 weeks. It's too high for me to reach, so it will be there until I can persuade someone with a ladder to get it out. But....I thought this windstorm would take care of my bag problems....nope. Baggy 1 Jenn 0

So did you end up racing?
ReplyDeleteI love windy weather ;-) DO you have a rake? I'd try using that to get the bag down.
