Too Funny Not To Post

Here's a conversation I had on this dating website with some 28 year old.  Now, being a bit older than 28 & not really looking for a "friends with benefits" situation.  I thought I'd post this to see if anyone else thought it was as funny as I did.  Now, to be fair, I have blanked out his name, but I feel comfortable telling you that his profile said his occupation was Market Research & not Med School Student.  Note:  none of this was embellished.  I did cut out redundancies, like the fact that he told me he was in med school twice & some smiley faces.  Happy reading!

28 year old:   do you like younger me?  what are you looking for?

Jenn:  younger, men?  yes.  immature, no.  just being honest

28 year old:  well, i usually go for women 35-50 so I'm good :)  what are you looking for?

Jenn:  Looking for dating, not really looking to hook up.  Again, being honest.  Are you looking for a girlfriend.

(I THINK WE CAN ALL SEE WHERE THE 28 YEAR OLD IS GOING WITH THIS, RIGHT?)

28 year old:  Well, I'm in med school so it's hard with my schedule for something serious (this was written at 3 pm - yeah sure you're in school) I think something in the middle is more ideal...like a long term friend with benefits...would you consider that?

Jenn:  Probably not.  I'm past the hooking up stage in my life.  Sorry, good luck though.

28 year old:  I think you should reconsider, you'd like me a lot.  Are you open minded?

Jenn:  Yes, I am totally open minded.  But I'm not interested in a hookup at this point.  Thanks though.

NOW THIS IS THE FUNNY PART.

28 year old:  Hi, nice pic?  Do you like younger men?

Jenn:  I guess you don't remember that you already emailed me last week...asking if I wanted to be friends with benefits?

& he never wrote back.  Shocking.   LOL.

  1. Boy, I am so glad I don't have to date anymore! Well, date someone new, that is.

Jenn, at the risk of sounding like some middle-aged match-maker, have you tried any of the Catholic, online dating sites? I have to believe that there is a lot less BS on those sites than what you've experienced above. Just a suggestion.

One more suggestion, if I may: Pray. We Catholics believe in guardian angels. Moreover, we believe that each soul has his or her own, individual guardian angel. We can and should pray to our guardian angels. When you get a quiet moment, say a little prayer to the guardian angel of your future spouse.

Good luck. I'll say a little prayer for you and your blog fans.

  2. Thanks James. Not sure if I am really an "online dating" kinda girl. I gave it a try. I think it's more humorous than anything else. :) Have a great day!
