Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  Can you believe it is January already?  It's cold today!  28 degrees.  That's pretty chilly considering it was 55 the other day.  Did everyone make resolutions for the New Year?  I made a few.  I have to say that last year, I kept one of my resolutions all the way til October.  That's pretty good, I think.  It was to keep the dining room table clutter free.  Yes, this isn't a huge resolution, but I believe in starting small.  I did pretty well for the whole year, but I guess old habits die hard.

I will try again this year with a few resolutions.  I should go home & clean off the table & try that one again!  My main resolution is to get things organized, in my house & in my life!  I want to say thanks to reality TV this weekend for solving all my problems!  You see, on New Years Eve I went out with a bunch of friends for dinner & to ring in the New Year.  I had a really great time & dinner, but.....my dish contained mussels & even though I love them.....I have come to realize that I am allergic to them.  Boo!  They are so tasty.  But they are not the 2nd time around, let me assure you!

So after lying in bed all day New Years Day, which was a total let down, as I like to start the New Year off with a trip to the gym, I resigned myself to watching bad tv.  I'm not much of a reality show person, but I do watch them from time to time because they really have zero plot to them & they're easy to follow along.  After the 5th episode of the Rachel Zoe Project I had an epiphany.  Now, I'm not really sure what makes this show so interesting, perhaps it is her incessant whining about being whisked back & forth to LA, NY, Paris & Milan to view the collections, but as I was watching people drag clothing racks of the most gorgeous couture around, the light bulb went off!

Clothing racks.  Hanging closets!  That's exactly what I need for organization!  So an early evening trip to Target & a few Ikea like diagrams later, viola!  Organization!  I can't believe it.  My whole world is coming together.  Now, I know what you're thinking....clothing racks?  That's a problem for you.  Yes, it certainly is! & it solved a big clutter problem that was slowly consuming me.  Next on my list, the container store!  Watch out 2012  I may just be on to something!!!!!!!
