Went for a 4 mile walk/run through Huber Woods today. It was about 50 degrees, so I had to take advantage of the nice weather. In the past, I had limited myself to running the boardwalk or running at Meadow Ridge Park, but I have been wanting to run the dirt roads in Middletown. They're pretty hilly & that makes for a great workout. I did walk a bit, just to get the lay of the area, since this was my first time running up there. The roads are still in pretty good shape, no potholes & not muddy at all!
I made it out to Cooper Road & ran a little down there & then up the hill to the top to overlook the valley, what a great view! I did see a dead deer on the side of the road, gross! At first I thought it was a goat, but then I thought how would a goat get out here? On the way back I confirmed it was a deer, gross again!
I found this picture online of Huber Woods. I think I may invest in a tiny digital camera that I can stuff in my pocket for when I run. The view & the scenery was so nice!
After my run, I went over to Whole Paycheck (Foods) and got some stuff for some beef stew. I think it's almost done, so I'm off to go try some!
