Oceanic Bridge

I decided to ride today instead of going to the gym.  There may not be too many more nice riding days out there.  I saw a bunch of others on bikes as well.  Most of them were going much faster than I was.  I tried to keep the pace at at least 15 mph for most of the ride.  I was happy to get up to 20 at one point, but I couldn't really maintain it.  All together I rode 12 miles.  I know I need to plan for at least 20-30 miles in a day, but I will have to sit down & plan out a route.

I went through Rumson, my usual way down River Road, but went over the Oceanic Bridge, which has seen better days.  It is literally falling into the Navesink one piece at a time.  My next stop was the stone church in Middletown.

This was about 6-7 miles from my house.  Then back over the Locust bridge and back into Rumson.  It was a pretty nice day & I'm glad I have a camera on my iPhone.  If it's nice next weekend, I would like to make it out to Sandy Hook.
