Knitting

OK so I have other hobbies.  Not too many, but a few.  I like to knit.  I've been doing it since I was a kid, when my mom taught use when we all had the chicken pox back when I was in 2nd grade.  I think that was 1980, wow 29 years ago!  But it wasn't until about 5 years ago that I decided that I was going to do it more often.  Right now I have about 30 projects going, all in different stages of completion.  My biggest projects that I have to get finished are Sue's mittens, Linda's daughter's blanket, a sweater for myself and a Christmas project, eek, that's less that 6 weeks away.

It really is relaxing & easy to take on the road.  I hope to get all of this stuff finished before the end of the year.  Poor Sue, she has had cold fingers for over a year now!  Here's a few things I've knitted.  I can't decide what are my favorites.  There are things I love while I am knitting them, but then don't like once I'm finished.  Others, like my tank top, turn out to be a big hit!  I'm so glad I knit that one, maybe I can get another one done by next summer!

I knit this for Jimmy's grandson.   Well, I knit it a long long time ago, but finally had a baby boy to give it to!

This is Julia's sweater, please ignore the ends which hadn't been woven in at the time I took the pic.

& my neckwarmer, which I love, but haven't had a lot of chances to wear it!

So that's what I do when I'm not working out, but it's hard to get all of this stuff in!  I would have liked to knit last night, but made a promise to myself to get to bed early!  I hope to have a lot of these projects finished by the end of the year.  Hopefully!  It should be my New Year's Resolution - finish what you start!

& just in case you're wondering, here are 2 of my favorite yarn stores:
